at Big Star Lake
General Information
Big Star Lake
This 912 acre inland lake west of Baldwin is surrounded by hundreds of tiny cabins and trailers located on multiple private roads (private roads on map may be less than exact). Star Lake Drive is the main public road- a loop drive that encircles the lake off of 76th St. There is one public access point on the southwest corner. The lake is rarely visible from the encircling drive
Boat Launch
Boat Launch- paved ramp with a dock in the center, turnaround space, parking for many vehicles with trailers
Fishing
Fishing- black crappie, bluegill, largemouth bass, muskellunge (muskie), northern pike, walleye, yellow perch (from lake link)
Swimming
Swimming- there is a tiny area just east of the launch ramp with a sandy beach and a bench on the shore. It appears that this is supposed to be for swimming, but it doesn't look like you could safely do more than wade, with private docks encroaching on the right and the public dock on the left.
Handicap Accessibility
Handicap Accessibility- latrine is labeled accessible, but you must cross natural surface to get to the sidewalk, and there is a 3/4" bump to get in the door.

Rest Rooms- latrine
Potable Water- none
