Lake County Veterans' Memorial

This memorial site is in a highly visible location, but may be difficult to visit. The ground is soft, and the only parking is on the shoulder of the road.


Historic Site-
Monument front - "Dedicated to the memory of those veterans from Lake County who made the supreme sacrifice so that we who stand here today to honor them may enjoy the freedom to do so - May they never be forgotten. World War I - Charles R. Dobry, Philip S. Lovejoy; Korean War - Arnold Palmer; World War II - Clifford M. Borton, Bertude Bull, Lewis I. McCluskey, Robert C. Buenger, Paul Davis, Vincent W. Spurgis, William D. Wilder, John C. Gipson, Guy A. Wollgamoit, Peter P. Ukites, Frank Garvon, James W. Streeter, Paul O. Johnson, Peter J. Judis, Harold E. Spears, Thomas R. Lepak, James E. Urban"
Monument back - "May 30, 1983; We dedicate this memorial to Mark "Kelly" Hage who died in the service of our country in the Republic of South Vietnam on August 5, 1968, and to the following members of this chapter of the Disabled American Veterans Kelly Hage Chapter 136, Baldwin, Michigan."
