Timber Creek
Timber Creek offers rustic campsites, picnic facilities, and hiking/ biking trail access for the North Country Trail. It is also a trailhead for the Ward Hills Snowmobile Trail.
Camping
Camping- There are 9 Forest Service campsites with parking, picnic table and fire ring or grill. Water may be available at a hand pump. Parking fee.
Fishing
Fishing- The Forest Service lists fishing as an activity for this site. There is a very small pond in Tank Creek, but I do not know what kind of fish might be found there. You could fish from its banks. Parking fee applies.

Follow the link for a description of the North Country National Scenic Trail in Lake County. The trail is open to bicycles from 56th Street north to Udell Trailhead in Manistee County

Picnicking- Any campsites not occupied by campers are available for day use. Parking fee applies.

Details
Access- Sand road about 1/4 mile long off of paved US Highway 10. Or hike in via the North Country Trail.
Restrictions- No OHV's. 14-day camping limit. Other National Forest regulations apply.
Fees- Recreation Fee applies for parking, additional fee for camping (self-pay tubes are available for daily passes, yearly passes may be purchased at a Ranger Station). See Manistee National Forest Recreation Fees
Ecosystem- small creek passes through the campsite. Sandy soil, oak and pine forest.
Other points of interest- North Country National Scenic Trail information kiosk at the north end of the campground. Trailhead and spur trail connects to the NCT.
